Blue Label Studios Product Support

If your template does not look as it should, here is a list checklist of the most common issues. We advise that you do these in sequential order to solve any issues.

1) Product images must be 640 pixels wide or less

If you take your product images yourself, your camera may have settings that you can adjust. They may be under the settings: image quality, resolution, size, or something similar. Choose the resolution that says 640×480. Alternatively, you can re-size your images with photo editing software.

2) The HTML code in the notepad file must be completely copied.

If you didn’t copy all of the code, you may have cut-off important information that is causing your template to be incomplete. If you are unsure, start over and highlight all of the code from top to bottom by right-clicking in the code and clicking ‘select-all’, then right-click again and select ‘copy’.

3) The HTML code must be pasted into the HTML tab of the listing service you are using.

You will only see scrambled characters in design/standard view if you pasted the HTML into any tab other than the HTML view. If you are unsure, start over and be sure to paste the HTML code in the HTML tab of the listing service you are using.

4) It’s possible to delete too much when editing your template.

When editing the item description and terms, it’s possible to highlight too much, then begin to type over parts of your template that make it display correctly. Start over, but when editing the description and terms, be sure to only highlight the brackets. TIP: If you ever make a mistake that you wish to undo, type ‘CTRL+Z’ on your keyboard to undo a step(s).

5) Did you paste in text that you copied from another file or auction?

When you paste in text that that has been copied from another location, it sometimes brings along extra code with it. This ‘foreign code’ can cause the template to display improperly. Instead of pasting in the code, we suggest typing it out by hand.

6) Did you add outside graphics to your template?

You may have added in graphics that are too large. You can either re-size these images or delete them entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) All my store links have suddenly stopped working, what gives?

If you changed the name of your store then any links to it will be broken. You can either edit all the links in the HTML to the new store name, or contact us to do it for you for a fee.

2) I installed the store front according to the instructions but it still is not displaying.

If you have any promotional boxes such as eBay’s ‘ending soon’ or ‘newly listed’, in any of the TOP positions, it will interfere with the store front. You must relocate those promotional boxes to any of the LEFT NAVIGATION positions.
